If you live in NE Ohio and like games, you need to check out AnCon when it returns next year. This one is making my must go to each year list. I went this year and got to play a demo of Mayfair's Settlers of America Trails to Rails. Awesome game, a little long buy much fun. It's Catan but the board is fixed...as America. But the number tiles move with you and your opponents from the East coast west as you try to out settle the other guys and move your cargo into the settlements. I can't wait to play this one again. Thanks to Larry, Marty, John (Woody) and Chris for the demo.

I signed up to play some other games...and even paid to play them but there was so much going on in the common area that I never made it to the official game rooms. I was only there for a day though so had I done the full three days I'm sure I would have gotten into other stuff. I then played a few games of Are You A Werewolf? Which is fun and they had a really good monitor.

When I left Saturday at like 10 pm, there were 12 tables of 4-6 player at each table, all playing D&D. Impressive for this Con and I suspect it will be just as fun next year.
